Munich, 5 December 2011 – Linde LienHwa (LLH), The Linde Group's joint venture with LienHwa MiTAC Group of Taiwan, has been awarded the 'Supplier Excellence Award' by Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Company Limited (tsmc), the largest semiconductor foundry in the world. The prestigious award commends LLH's exceptional performance and supplier ranking on tsmc's QCDS (quality, cost, delivery and service) metrics in 2011. LLH is the largest gases company in Taiwan.
"Linde LienHwa delivers innovative gas and chemical technology for semiconductor manufacturing that improves efficiency and reduces costs, so we are delighted to be appreciated by one of the technology leaders in the semiconductor industry," commented Matthew Miau, Chairman of LienHwa MiTAC Group and member of the Linde Supervisory Board. "tsmc's recognition of LLH's on-site Total Gas and Chemical Management (TGCM) teams demonstrates our commitment to excellence in customer service and our capacity to provide on-time delivery of high quality products to the constantly evolving semiconductor industry."
The award was presented on 2nd December during tsmc's annual supply chain management forum in Hsinchu, Taiwan, attended by hundreds of representatives from the world's leading suppliers in the semiconductor manufacturing industry.
Peter Owen, Head of Linde's Global Electronics business added "This award is further acknowledgement of our commitment to tsmc with whom we have enjoyed a strong working relationship for more than twenty years."
LLH and Linde's Gases Division supply tsmc with a comprehensive portfolio of bulk gas, electronic special gases and services to its manufacturing locations worldwide.
